She has 10+ years of research experience developing bio-based materials in an international, multidisciplinary academic research environment, including Brazil, Finland, Canada, and the Netherlands.

He was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. His passion for chemistry and biology led him to pursue a BSc and MSc in Biotechnology, specializing in biomaterials. In March 2024, He began his PhD at WUR, focusing on sustainable nanocellulose for medical applications. He is a big fan of biomaterials, cellulose, and tissue engineering.

She is a PhD candidate in Food Process Engineering, Physical Chemistry, and Soft Matter at WUR. Her project is about hydrogel-based materials using Seaweed (Agar) and Nanocellulose. She is also an early-stage researcher at the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia in Food Processing studies. 

She is from China, where she earned her BSc and MSc degrees in Food Science and Engineering. She will commence her PhD in Physical Chemistry and Soft Matter at WUR, focusing on nanocellulose-stabilized water-in-water Pickering emulsions for stimuli-responsive systems.

Chemist with a strong interest in biotechnologies for a sustainable future. With roots in Italy, she earned her BSc and MSc in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Padova. As a PhD candidate at WUR since late 2026, she is working on a project on photonic pigments that explores self-assembly in cellulose-based materials and how it influences structural color, looking for potential applications in sustainable coatings.

Victoria is a Brazilian visiting PhD student; she is currently pursuing her PhD at São Paulo State University (UNESP), where she produces lignin nanoparticles to encapsulate pesticides and enable controlled release of active ingredients. She holds a FAPESP scholarship, and during her time at WUR, she will develop lignin nanoparticle-stabilized Pickering emulsions produced using a microfluidic platform for the controlled delivery of citronella essential oil. She will also evaluate the performance of these colloidal formulations as bioherbicides in pre- and post-emergence assays.

She is an MSc student in Molecular Life Sciences at the WUR with interests in biochemistry and physical chemistry. Her thesis project is about the potential of using alginate material, extracted from brown seaweed, for producing bio-based textile fibers.
