Green oxidative process for nanocellulose production

The combination of hydrogen peroxide and organic acids allows to remove lignin while modifying the cellulose surface. This allows the production of nanocellulose with different chemistries and colloidals properties.

Antibacterial coatings for medical materials

The play on charges is being used as toll to self-assembly multilayer antibacterial coatings for endotracheal tubes. These materials are being produced using negatively charged CNFs and modified chitosan.

Biobased Hybrid Packaging

Multifunctional packaging, using a mixture of biobased materials such as agarose and nanocellulose, allows for the prolonging of vegetable quality.

3D Biobased Printing for Building Environment 

Oyster shells and other biobased materials have great potential for 3D printing in construction, offering faster, cost-effective, and low-waste building methods with the flexibility to create complex designs.
